The Blessing Bike is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to provide access to affordable passenger bikes to families with loved ones experiencing age, health, or disability-related barriers.
At age 92, Rosemary Sorce inspired her family to want to make her final season on earth a little more meaningful and enjoyable. Although front-passenger bikes existed, the cost was a barrier for any middle-class family. In August 2018, Wade and Jill Houser together found a solution: a cargo-style bicycle retrofitted to carry Rosemary.
After a few years of design, research, and support from friends — we’ve created the Blessing Bike 2.0 — It features six gears, disc brakes, a parking brake, step through for the person peddling, and a kickstand to help with stability when stepping onto the bike! All for the same price.
Please contact us about Blessing Bike availability and visit the FAQ for questions that may be answered in advance. Supplies are limited, as each bike is custom-made with love and care as they are ordered. If you are interested in a bike, please send an email to us using the form below:
Include your name, location, and how a blessing bike would impact you, your family, or your organization, and we’ll get back to you soon.
