Handling Hard

Recently, I was texting a friend who is a caregiver for her family and has been as long as I have known her.

Life has thrown a few big curveballs at my friend and some of them came in fast and furious.

As we were texting, she said something profound.

She said “I have a new mantra. I must learn to handle hard better”

I thought about her statement for a long time. Handle hard better? That is certainly a concept that we do not tend to hear often.

We hear things like “it will get better,” “give it time to heal” and “my situation will be better one day”

But instead, if we flip that mindset like my friend did and learn to handle hard better, we are actively engaged in our present, finding solutions, moving forward, and gaining momentum and strength.

It requires action. Action causes us to move. Movement creates change, Change creates opportunity, and so on..

So, KUDOS to my friend who is digging deep and finding ways to do hard better.

I respect you. I admire you. And I am here for you. I can do hard with you.

She shared a link with me that I would like to share with you.
